Meet a Collaborator

As a special education teacher and later as an elementary school principal, I often found myself helping students who were upset or struggling with difficult situations. When I was introduced to the concept behind The Bubble Chronicles, my first reaction was dismay that I hadn’t had this tool when I needed it most. The use of metaphors, humor, and visuals—along with strategies that engage students in creating their own stories and illustrations—are all research-based methods for deepening understanding and ownership of learning.

I would have eagerly incorporated The Bubble Chronicles and adopted its shared vocabulary to support my students’ success. It has been truly exciting to see this project come to life, and I’ve greatly enjoyed serving as a sounding board and consultant throughout its development.
